He was indicted on 10 counts of insider trading; 13 counts of securities fraud; four counts of wire fraud; seven counts of making false statements, and one count of conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud. Now, if you wanted to keep score at home, see how many news stories are aired regarding Skilling compared to how many stories have already been aired on Martha Stewart.
If the government were really serious about cracking down on corporate crime, then they would make a example out of Skilling by sentencing him to do hard time with Charles Manson and Sirhan Sirhan at California's Corcoran State Prison. And bunk him with someone like Vern Schillinger of HBO's "Oz."
